 Dan Swearingin - The Bowfisher
The Bowfisher Magazine is an International publication on one of the
fastest growing sports in the U.S., bowfishing. If you enjoy bowhunting,
then you are going to love bowfishing. Bowfishing is a cross between
fishing and bowhunting. Across the United States and the entire world,
fish like the common carp, garpike, and Asian flying carp are taking
over our rivers and streams. There are very few ways of controlling
these invaders, but one way to get rid of a few and have fun at the same
time is to shoot them with a bow.
Dan Swearingin, Owner/Editor-In-Chief of The Bowfisher Magazine has been
bowfishing since he was 12 years old. Swearingin has been a guide in the
Alaskan Bush and now in his native state of Missouri. The Bowfisher
seminar will take you through the basics of getting started in this
great family sport, such as what equipment is needed, how to, species
identification and much more. At the end of the seminar you are welcome
to ask as many questions as you might have.
Stop by our booth and the youth can take action and shoot into our
targets submerged under water. We have gear set up so that you can see
the equipment needed to complete your adventure and introduce you to the
